The June 2013 edition of the ICSS Journal focuses on the criminal subversion of sport, examining the methods used to fix sports results and the efforts being made by governments, law-enforcement agencies and sports governing bodies to eradicate such corruption.
The publication also includes a review of the lessons learnt about response and resilience in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing; an assessment of safety and security at football's Africa Cup of Nations; and news of the winner of the first Qatar Olympic Committee/ICSS Save the Dream award – distance runner Iván Fernández Anaya.
The ICSS Journal, published by Newsdesk Media in partnership with the International Centre for Sport Security, is a quarterly publication that fuses perceptive and timely insights with sport-security issues that are affecting the sporting generations of today, and of the future.
