G20 Russia Summit 2013

The eighth G20 summit, held in St Petersburg on 5-6 September 2013, was the first to be hosted by Russia and forms part of a sequence of summits to be held in the country, continuing with the G8 in 2014 and BRICS in 2015.

Under the overall themes of strengthening growth through quality jobs and investment, trust and transparency and effective regulation, this publication explores the core items discussed in St Petersburg and features an address to the G20 by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, plus introductions from Mexico's President Enrique Peña Nieto, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, South Africa's President Jacob Zuma and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia.
