Invest in Africa 2016

Invest in Africa 2016 is an official publication of the African Union (AU), to be launched at the 26th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 21-31 January.

The publication outlines the AU’s driving principles and strategy as it pushes forward with Agenda 2063. Expert analysis examines trends and developments across a wide range of sectors, looking at existing projects and identifying potential partnerships and investment opportunities.

Furthermore, marking the African Year of Human Rights with particular focus on the Rights of Women, the publication puts a spotlight on the AU’s efforts to promote gender equality and support women’s empowerment. It also draws similarities between AU targets and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Invest in Africa 2016 includes forewords and introductions from HE Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission; HE Erastus Mwencha, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission; HE Fatima Haram Acyl, Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission; and Stephen Hayes, President of the Corporate Council on Africa.
