United Arab Emirates 2015 Year of Innovation

Innovation runs deep in the United Arab Emirates, glistening from the skyscrapers of a young nation that leads the region in the ease of doing business.

For years, the country has been proactively diversifying its economy, such that now only a third of its GDP comes from oil receipts. Sounding a further call for creativity, and with a clear vision for the economy, the UAE government declared 2015 the Year of Innovation.

United Arab Emirates: 2015 Year of Innovation is an official publication of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London. It explores the country’s vibrant business landscape, examining the investment environment across the spectrum of sectors, from renewable energy to healthcare. The publication also provides contacts for those looking to do business in the UAE.

Key contributors include the UAE’s Ambassador to the Court of St James, HE Abdulrahman Ghanem Almutaiwee CVO, and British Ambassador to the UAE, Philip Parham.
