Royal Air Force

Produced on behalf of the Royal Air Force (RAF), Global Air Power was published in 2008, the 90th anniversary year of the RAF. The publication looks at the changing role of the RAF during its 90-year history and considers its relevance today and in the future.

Global Air Power looks at how the RAF has developed pioneering technologies, its vital role delivering and transporting combat power and supplies, the evolution of intelligence and surveillance, current operations, training and recruitment and how the RAF aids the civilian community.

Historical articles offer accounts of the origins and development of the RAF and its key figures, while others celebrate the RAF's reputation for memorial flypasts and aerobatic displays, documenting the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Red Arrows.

Global Air Power includes a foreword by Air Chief Marshal Sir Glenn Torpy, then Chief of the Air Staff.
