Air League

Skyward was donated to The Air League by Newsdesk Media in June 2009.

Since its creation in 1909, The Air League has promoted the cause of British aviation. Skyward commemorates 100 years of The Air League and documents the vision of aviation's future.

This commemorative publication contains features that set aviation within the context of a century of history, including nostalgic photos, poster images and cartoons. As Skyward moves closer to the present day it explores the 20th century's revolution in aviation.

The publication also discusses environmental issues, training and recruitment, transport and high capacity airliners, military capacity and the aerospace industries and their importance to the British economy.

Skyward was launched at The Air League's 2009 Centenary Reception at Buckingham Palace, which was hosted by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, Patron of The Air League.
