Invest in South Africa 2013

As South Africa approaches 20 years of freedom and democracy, the inaugural edition of Invest in South Africa explores the country’s economic and business achievements, and highlights existing and potential opportunities for international investors and partners.
The publication focuses on the country’s range of long-term foreign direct investment opportunities across all industrial sectors – including mining and extractive industries, agribusiness, processing, manufacturing and infrastructure – as well as providing an insight into South Africa’s business-friendly environment and geo-strategic position as a gateway for trade with other major African markets.
To mark South Africa’s hosting of the fifth BRICS summit in Durban, the publication also includes a special section highlighting the prospects and challenges facing the five BRICS member states (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), along with the potential benefits of membership for the summit hosts and the African continent as a whole.
Featuring forewords from President Jacob Zuma; Dr Zola Skweyiya, South African High Commissioner to the UK; and Mait Nkoana-Mashabane, South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation.
