New York: Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, made the opening keynote address to delegates at the second Kazakhstan-US Investment Forum, organised in partnership with Newsdesk Media.
Prime Minister Massimov, speaking via a video-link from Hong Kong, outlined the effectiveness of the economic measures taken by his government to help weather the global economic crisis, and highlighted the importance of building long-term investment partnerships with Kazakhstan.
The subsequent Q&A session with the Prime Minister featured questions about the country's current political and economic situation, its business and investment climate, the principal sectors for foreign investment, and developments in Kazakh-US relations.
The Forum was introduced by HE Erlan A. Idrissov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United States and HE Richard Hoagland, US Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and chaired by Newsdesk Media CEO Alan Spence.
